Last Updated: April 11, 2026  ·  Effective: April 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DoughBase ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DoughBase provides a predictive fermentation management platform designed for pizzerias and home bakers. The Service includes tools for tracking dough batches, calculating target dough temperatures (DDT), scheduling fermentation timelines, and related analytics.

DoughBase is offered in two tiers: a Free Home Baker plan and a Pro plan for commercial operators. Features may vary between tiers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. The Service is intended for users worldwide, but you are responsible for compliance with local laws that apply to your use of the Service.

4. Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@doughbase.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our express written consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content that disrupts the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide commercial access to the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, algorithms, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to fermentation models, software, text, graphics, and logos — are the exclusive property of DoughBase and are protected by applicable US and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own baking operations.

7. User Data and Content

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service (batch records, recipes, settings, etc.). By submitting this data, you grant DoughBase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and store it solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your individual data to third parties. Aggregate, anonymized data may be used for product analytics and research.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. DOUGHBASE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Fermentation calculations provided by the Service are estimates based on mathematical models and are not a substitute for professional judgment. Results may vary based on ingredient quality, environmental conditions, and equipment.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOUGHBASE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR SPOILED PRODUCT — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoughBase and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to such jurisdiction.

For users in the European Union: Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

13. International Users

The Service is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the US, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
